U16 Head Coach - Coach Experience: 13 years High School & 14 years Club Ball
PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: I started playing volleyball and basketball in the 5th grade and went on to play four years of Varsity in each sport for my small high school. My five siblings all played soccer, football, softball, baseball….so naturally, being the baby of the family, I had to do my own thing. 😊
While in college, I started my coaching career at the rec level and after moving back home to Bend, Oregon the next year I started my high school and club career. I spent six seasons with Summit High School as their freshmen coach and assisting with their Varsity going to the State Tourney every year as well as coaching for Oregon Volleyball Academy at their U14 level. When I moved to Portland I coached JV for Aloha High School and assisted their Varsity to a third-place state finish before accepting the Head Varsity position at Forest Grove High School where I spent five seasons helping to rebuild their youth and high school program making a post season appearance twice as well as developing a club program.
During that time, I was fortunate to coach for the Multnomah Athletic Club (MAC) as well as Athena Volleyball where I worked alongside some amazing coaches and mentors. My last project was with the Portland State Women’s Club team this past winter and spring which was a good peak into the college scene while working with some phenomenal student athletes.
I love coaching because I enjoy seeing hard work pay off, the aspect of teamwork and unity show through a team’s play on the court, and helping foster a lifelong love of a sport from a young age. I also love playing still and have enjoyed watching my niece play on the West Valley Frosh Team for the 2017 season.
I believe in fundamentals of the game, making drills as game like as possible, and having consistency from the practice court to the game court. I very much support an “Ubuntu” philosophy with the notion of “I am because we are” where every member contributes to the team’s success whether they are on the court or sidelines and growth only happens when we get out of our comfort zone.
In my free time, (what is that? lol) I enjoy being active, watching sports, going to concerts or the movies, and spending time with my three fur babies. Currently, I’m the Clinic Manager over the two Astria Urgent Cares in Yakima and Union Gap. I’m very much looking forward to coaching again with my boyfriend, Keri, at Club Selah as we’ve found it to be a great support system of coaches, the community, and love being able to be a part of the kid’s lives.
U16 Asst Coach - Coaching Experience: 11 years High School level and 1 year Club Ball
PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: I am very excited and honored to get the chance to coach for Club Selah this season with Nicole.
A little about me: I was born in Alaska but grew up in a small town in Southwest Oregon. I competed in four varsity sports in high school; football, basketball, golf and track & field. Later on, in college I played football for 3 years and spent a few years on the track and lacrosse teams.
COACHING EXPERIENCE: I started coaching football as an assistant at the high school level after I was done playing and at 22 years old I accepted my first head coaching position. I served as the Head Track & Field coach for Falls City Junior High and High School. I have to say my experience at Falls City is what made me want to coach. It was truly amazing to see the results and growth the athletes had after putting in the hard work.
From there I went on to coach football, basketball, and track & field at some larger schools as well as at the university level. I’ve had some great experiences, worked some amazing athletes and coached with some phenomenal coaches. I feel very fortunate that a lot of the coaches I’ve had the pleasure of partnering with, over the years, are still mentors to me today. The learning never stops.
In 2016 I got the opportunity to go back to Alaska where I ended up spending a year and half there coaching at Haines High School. While I was up there I was the Head Cross Country, Volleyball and Track & Field coach. It was a great experience to work with so many different sports; especially when I had athletes that competed in all three for me.
I can’t wait to get started with Club Selah! Go Viks!

I was a Club Selah player for 6 years.

U12 Head Coach - First Year Coaching
I played volleyball for the first time when I was on the Club Selah U12 team, and I fell in love with the game. After that point I continued to further my volleyball career through playing 6 years of school volleyball, the last two of which I was a varsity player for Selah High School. I also chose to play 6 years of club volleyball with the Club Selah Program.
Since I graduated in 2017 I have attended Central Washington University where I have been studying biology.
This will be my first season as a coach, but I have assisted during many different volleyball camps throughout my career.
